The Multifunctional Centre of Varennes combines two main functions: a sport centre and a community center. The building’s versatility allows for an innovative approach to electromechanical systems in each area to meet specific needs.
The City of Varennes aims to create a centre that goes beyond mere sports facilities by addressing specific resident needs through community spaces. This three-story building will house a gymnasium, a martial arts dojo, a dance studio, offices for organizations, a kitchen, and a reception hall that can accommodate 250 people.
Concepts and lighting fixture choices have been selected to meet the highest standards of the IESNA. Lighting control is tailored to respect environmental conditions, incorporating brightness and presence detection through centralized lighting control.
Building used as a shelter in case of natural disaster or general power outage
